Brownfields Revitalization Plan
In 2019, the City of Monroe, Louisiana along with coalition partners—the City of West Monroe and Ouachita Parish Police Jury—were awarded a $479,000 Community-Wide Assessment Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Atlas, PPM Consultants, and CEC, Inc. were hired to develop a brownfields revitalization plan.
Collectively, the cities of Monroe and West Monroe prioritized brownfield sites along the Ouachita River, paving the way for catalytic and complementary development and investment.
